Hello, and welcome to my online creative space.
My name is Elisse. I am a home cook, and baker. My culinary adventures started when I was in middle school, and just wanted some chocolate chip cookies. I never would have dreamt that first batch of chocolate chip cookies would take me on a lifelong adventure and be the key to unlocking one of my greatest passions. I have a background in science, and I love to put that part of my brain to work through recipe development. I find culinary endeavors to be a wonderful way to express both the scientific and creative aspects of myself.
A couple of quick quirks, I am on a mission to run a sustainable, plastic free kitchen with minimal amounts of waste. Due to food allergies in my home, I do not use anything with almond (though you will find imitation almond extract in my pantry). Maybe one day I’ll try to perfect a nut-free macaron.
I find baking and cooking for friends and family to be an expression of love and gratitude, and now I am looking to share my passion, knowledge, and constant curiosity of baking with the online world in hopes of finding fellow bakers and cooks (of all skill levels) so we may teach and learn from one another. It’s impossible to know where the next best tip, flavor combination, ingredient substitution, or piece of inspiration will come from so I ask you to subscribe and we can take this journey together.
